Black Women In Artificial Intelligence - UH Computational Biomedicine Lab
Ph.D. Research Assistantship
The application submission process is now open.

Purpose:To encourage African-American Women to pursue careers in computer science we have created the Future Black Women In Computer Science Ph.D. Research Assistantship.
​
This Research Assistantship is available to African-American female students who are seeking to earn a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Houston.
​
Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen
-
Applicant must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.

Applicant must have applied or plan to apply to the University of Houston Computer Science department for Fall 2025 admission.
Awards for this Research Assistantship are determined by the scholarship committee.
At the time of the award, all selected award recipients must reside in or relocate to Houston, Texas or the surrounding area.
